The church started its humble beginning in 1978 at the house of the Demetrio Family in Baesa, Quezon City as a small group bible study lead by Pastor Ronald Pineda. It was blessed by the Lord as the small group bible continued. In a year, the number of attendees multiplies and the house cannot accommodate the people anymore.
The leaders called for a meeting and they gathered to look for a much larger place where they can rent and meet together in worshipping God. A house owned by then Barangay Captain Celestino Rivera was found. In the first quarter of 1979, the new Testament Church of God was born and was still headed by Pastor Ronald Pineda and his wife Melba Pineda. The blessing of the Lord showered in the church, the church continue to grow that after two or more years, the leaders decided to find a place where they can call their own and purchased a lot in Rubyville Subdivision. In 1981, the construction begun and in 1982, the church moved to its permanent place of worship in the said subdivision.
The works of the Lord continued that the members grew in numbers and was blessed by the Lord under the leadership of Pastor Ronald Pineda. In 1987, Pastor Ronald Pineda was transferred to another pastorate church in the province and was replaced by Pastor Vicente Mijares with his family. By that time, the church was called Baesa Church of God.
In 1996, Pastor Mijares moved into Oriental Mindoro where he was assigned, Pastor Florestan Pajarillo took over the leadership of the church. By this time, the church was named Worship Center Church of God. At that time, the hand of the Lord was moving in the church that the work of the Lord was prospering the church.
In 1998, Pastor Florestan Pajarillo was assigned as the District Overseer of Occidental Mindoro and his assistant Pastor, Pastor Rodelio Ebarvia, took over the leadership of the church until today. The church was renamed Church of God Caloocan in pursuing its vision of conquering the city of Caloocan for Christ.
Pastor Rodelio Ebarvia continued his mission in sharing the Word of the Lord not just in the city of Caloocan but extended it to the neighboring communities of Quezon City. From October 2019, the administration of Pastor Rodelio Ebarvia started a monthly C2S Celebration at the Crossroad Park-Tandang Sora, located at Sangandaan, Quezon City. This is to immerse the church in the nearby community and share the gospel unto them through the C2S (Connect-2-Soul), a relational flagship program of the Church of God Philippines. And in March 2020, the Church of God Crossroad was established and this has served Sunday Worship Services to the community of Caloocan and Quezon City.
This has not stopped Pastor Rodelio Ebarvia to train future leaders of the church. Bro Genesis Labing-isa, a former Youth Empowered Leader and Relationship Department Head, was assigned as an On-the-Job Pastor of Church of God Caloocan in 2021. This is to prepare him as a future leader of the church to continue its mission on sharing the good news to the city. In 2022, Pastor Rodelio Ebarvia and Bro. Genesis Labing-isa took the Licensure Ministerial Examination for Bishop and Exhorter, respectively, and passed the examinations with flying colors.
The Church of God Caloocan moved its satellite church from Crossroad, Quezon City to One Mall Valenzuela on 21 August 2022 catering a larger call of serving the people of Valenzuela City for the Lord. This is align with the Church of God Philippines' dream to build a Born Again Pilipinas. And this will start in Born Again Caloocan City and Born Again Valenzuela City.
